Spain's national football teams will step onto the global stage in luxury fashion at the next two World Cups. The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has announced a four-year partnership with Loewe, the Madrid-based haute couture house now part of the LVMH group, to dress players for official travel and events.

The deal covers the senior men's and women's squads—collectively known as La Roja—for tournaments including the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, as well as the 2030 edition co-hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. Loewe will provide a complete travel wardrobe: tailored suits, casual garments, footwear, and leather goods.

Quiet Luxury and Spanish Craftsmanship

The collection emphasizes understated elegance. Suits will be handmade in Loewe's own workshops, with a discreet Anagram logo stitched inside the sleeve—visible only when the arm moves. The brand aims to project a refined image of Spain abroad, blending sport with the country's heritage of craftsmanship.

Loewe's creative directors, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernández, told Vogue that their mission is to reconnect with the house's roots. "The vitality and positive energy of Spanish culture runs through Loewe," they said. The partnership is a deliberate effort to reclaim the "Spanishness" that has defined the brand's DNA for decades, using football—one of the nation's most passionate pastimes—as a canvas.

Founded in Madrid in 1846, Loewe is renowned for its leather goods and artisanal techniques. The brand has long explored Spanish identity not as a fixed image but as a tactile, evolving language. This collaboration, coinciding with Loewe's 180th anniversary, extends that exploration into sport, accompanying a generation of players who are redefining Spanish football with talent and instinct.

The RFEF sees the partnership as a way to showcase the "Spain brand" beyond Europe. Loewe joins a roster of sponsors backing the federation as it eyes future challenges, including the 2030 World Cup on home soil. The deal also comes amid broader shifts in Spanish football, where off-pitch developments—such as recent investigations into political influence—continue to make headlines.

For fans, the Loewe collaboration adds a layer of cultural prestige to La Roja's already storied identity. The team has won three European Championships and one World Cup, and the new partnership signals an ambition to match that success with sartorial excellence. As the players travel across continents, their Loewe attire will serve as a mobile ambassador for Spanish design.

The 2026 World Cup kicks off on 11 June, with Spain set to compete in North America. The 2030 tournament, spanning three continents, will mark the centenary of the World Cup and return to Spain for the first time since 1982. Whether on the pitch or in the stands, La Roja will now be dressed by one of the country's most celebrated luxury houses.
