Türkiye has long been a favourite for travellers seeking a blend of history, coastline, and cuisine. Now, a fresh wave of hotel openings is set to elevate the country's already vibrant tourism offering, with properties ranging from ultra-luxury resorts to boutique cave suites.

Bulgari makes its Bodrum debut

One of the most anticipated openings is the Bulgari Resort & Mansions, slated for 2028 on the picturesque Türkbükü coast in Bodrum. This development will feature 43 rooms and suites, 40 standalone villas, and 101 exclusive mansions, making it a significant addition to the region's luxury landscape. Guests will have a choice of dining venues, including Bulgari's La Spiaggia, Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, and the Japanese Hoseki restaurant, all set against the backdrop of the Aegean Sea.

The residential component is equally ambitious, with mansions ranging from three to six bedrooms, infinity pools, and private beach access. For those looking to invest in a holiday home, this could be a compelling option.

NG Sign Hotel: a villa retreat

Also in Bodrum, the NG Sign Hotel is expected to open in 2027. This villa-style property will offer two- and six-bedroom accommodations, with the largest villa sleeping up to 14 guests. The design emphasises glass surfaces to maximise natural light, and the 300-square-metre garden provides ample outdoor space. The infinity pool will be heated and cooled for year-round use.

For smaller parties, one-bedroom suites with ceramic flooring and terraces offer a more intimate setting. The hotel will also feature a spa with open-air massage areas, a hammam, and fitness and yoga zones. Dining options include Egio for breakfast and brunch, Ilios for seafood, Signio for pan-Asian cuisine, and Rosetta Patisserie for sweet treats.

Hilton expands in Istanbul and beyond

Hilton is making significant moves in Türkiye. The Gist Istanbul, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, opening in 2027, will bring 46 rooms to the city, close to the Bosphorus and Galataport. The property will include a restaurant, rooftop bar, and fitness centre.

Earlier this year, the Les Temps Istanbul Karakoy, Curio Collection by Hilton opened its doors in the historic Generali Han building on Bankalar Street. This 93-room hotel pays homage to its past as a commercial hub, with the Generali Han Suite accommodating up to three guests. The La Calme Wellness area offers a steam room, sauna, and cold plunge, while the Levantin Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For a lighter bite, Café du Temps offers Turkish sherbet and pastries under the same ceilings that once hosted Istanbul's merchants.

Hilton is also expanding beyond Istanbul. The Hilton Garden Inn Kocaeli Dilovasi, opening next year in the northwest, will feature 104 contemporary rooms, a restaurant, and wellness facilities including an indoor pool and Turkish hammam.

Cappadocia's cave hotel and Marriott's Fortuna

In Cappadocia, Hilton has opened its first cave hotel, the Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia, Curio Collection by Hilton. This property offers 36 individually designed rooms, some with private pools, whirlpool baths, or hot tubs. The Elika Villa includes a Turkish bath and sauna, and the spa features two treatment rooms.

Meanwhile, Marriott Bonvoy's Fortuna of Cappadocia, Autograph Collection opened in 2026 in the hillside village of Uçhisar. With 125 rooms and suites plus 28 private villas, the hotel blends into the landscape of fairy chimneys. The Fortuna Table restaurant serves local flavours, while the rooftop Fortuna Terrace offers Mediterranean dishes with panoramic views.

These openings reflect a broader trend of international hotel brands investing in Türkiye's diverse regions, from the Aegean coast to the Anatolian heartland. For travellers, the choices are becoming more varied and sophisticated, promising new reasons to explore a country that already has so much to offer.
