For travellers who dream of a holiday without the sound of splashing and squealing, a new package aims to deliver peace from the moment they leave home. JetBlue Vacations and Virgin Voyages have joined forces on “Do Not Disturb”, an adults-only getaway that includes a dedicated child-free flight from New York to Florida, followed by a cruise on the Brilliant Lady.
The four-night voyage is scheduled for 4–8 March 2027. It includes round-trip flights between John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport, with the cruise calling at Key West and Virgin Voyages’ Beach Club at Bimini in the Bahamas. The entire journey, from check-in to disembarkation, is designed to be free of passengers under 18.
“We love creating vacations for all kinds of travellers, including families, but we also know there are moments when adults are looking for a different kind of getaway,” said Jamie Perry, president of Paisly, JetBlue’s travel booking platform. “With Do Not Disturb, we wanted that feeling of truly switching off to start well before you step onto the ship.”
Perry added: “From the flight to the transfer to the cruise itself, we’ve thought about the entire journey so our customers can simply show up, settle in and enjoy some uninterrupted time away.”
On board the Brilliant Lady
The ship, which launched in 2025, is relatively small with just 60 cabins, ensuring an intimate atmosphere. Guests can choose from more than 20 restaurants and bars, including Spanish eatery Rojo by Razzle Dazzle, Mexican spot Pink Agave, and Korean barbecue venue Gunbae.
While the concept of adults-only resorts is well established, this package extends the child-free experience to the journey itself. The dedicated flight means that even the airport and boarding process are tailored to an adult clientele, a novelty that could appeal to those seeking a complete escape.
The move comes as the travel industry increasingly segments its offerings. Lisbon recently won Europe's best city and cruise destination titles, highlighting how cruise lines are competing for discerning travellers. Meanwhile, travellers trust AI for pricing but not for trip planning, suggesting that personalisation remains a key factor in booking decisions.
For European readers, the package is a reminder of how US-based operators are innovating in the adults-only niche. While similar offerings exist in Europe, such as on some Mediterranean cruises, the dedicated child-free flight is a distinctive feature. As Türkiye's Cittaslow towns promote slow travel, the demand for tranquil holidays appears to be growing across the continent.
The “Do Not Disturb” package is available for booking through JetBlue Vacations. With the cruise departing in 2027, travellers have ample time to plan a child-free escape. Whether this concept will catch on in Europe remains to be seen, but for now, it offers a glimpse of how the industry is catering to adults seeking a break from family-oriented travel.
