Marriott Bonvoy has opened a new luxury property in Cappadocia, the Fortuna of Cappadocia, Autograph Collection, situated in the hillside village of Uçhisar. The hotel offers 125 guest rooms and suites, plus 28 private villas, all designed to blend with the region's distinctive landscape of fairy chimneys and sculpted valleys.
Cappadocia, in central Turkey, is known for its volcanic rock formations and cave dwellings. The area also holds archaeological sites such as the Kayseri Archaeology Museum, which traces civilisations from the Chalcolithic Age to the Late Ottoman period across 14 exhibition halls.
Design and Dining
The hotel's name references Fortuna, the Roman goddess of luck and good fortune, nodding to Cappadocia's Roman heritage. Dining options include Fortuna Table, offering all-day cuisine inspired by Cappadocian flavours, and Fortuna Terrace, a rooftop venue serving Mediterranean dishes from afternoon to evening. Other venues are Le Dome, the Lobby Lounge, Le Privé, and Grand Cabaret, which hosts vibrant dinners with live performances by renowned artists on select nights.
