Jet2, the British leisure airline and package holiday operator, is broadening its reach beyond affordable flights and beach getaways. Through its Jet2Weddings service, launched in December 2024, the company now offers destination wedding packages across a growing portfolio of European locations. Couples can tie the knot or renew vows in Malta, Italy, Greece, Spain, Türkiye, and Portugal, with professional planning support included.

The packages are managed in collaboration with Perfect Weddings Abroad Limited and cover legal paperwork, local marriage fees, and a dedicated coordinator. Prices start at £1,650 (approximately €1,932), which includes pre-wedding planning, on-the-day ceremony coordination, and seasonal flowers for the couple. Guests also benefit from £50 off per person on Jet2 holiday bookings, plus guaranteed cabin baggage and an extra 22kg luggage allowance—useful for transporting wedding attire and essentials.

New Destinations and Local Highlights

Jet2Weddings now features 80 hotels across its expanded European map. Among the newest additions:

  • Malta: The Mediterranean island is praised for its sunshine, scenery, and cuisine—what Jet2 calls essential ingredients for a memorable wedding.
  • Sorrento, Italy: With elegant hotels and sea views, Sorrento is described as a timeless setting for a destination wedding.
  • Santorini, Greece: Known for whitewashed villages and blue-domed churches, the island offers dramatic caldera views and endless photo opportunities, according to Jet2.
  • Lanzarote, Canary Islands (Spain): Year-round sunshine, volcanic landscapes, and over 100 beaches combine with warm Canarian hospitality.
  • Türkiye: Sunset ceremonies are recommended, with secluded Dalaman suited for intimate gatherings and Antalya’s beachfronts for larger celebrations.

This expansion comes as destination weddings gain popularity among European couples seeking a blend of travel and celebration. For context, the rising cost of weddings in parts of Europe—such as Spain, where prices have surged by €10,000 amid the housing crisis—makes all-inclusive packages increasingly attractive. Spanish Weddings Now Cost €10,000 More as Housing Crisis Deepens highlights the financial pressures many couples face.

Jet2’s move also aligns with broader travel trends. The company’s focus on Mediterranean and southern European destinations taps into demand for sun-soaked ceremonies, while its guest perks encourage group bookings. For those planning a wedding abroad, the service simplifies logistics—a key advantage over arranging everything independently.

As European travel evolves, Jet2Weddings positions itself as a practical option for couples who value convenience and value. Whether it’s a small ceremony in a Turkish cove or a larger affair on a Greek island, the packages aim to reduce stress while delivering a memorable experience.
