Just months after the launch of its first yacht, Four Seasons has unveiled plans for a second vessel, Four Seasons II, scheduled to debut in 2028. The new yacht will feature 79 expansive suites designed to evoke a residential feel, with multi-bedroom layouts, private terraces, and dedicated concierge services. The announcement underscores the luxury hospitality group's commitment to expanding its presence in the ultra-luxury cruise market, a sector that has seen growing interest from affluent European travelers seeking bespoke experiences at sea.
Residential-Style Suites and Personalized Service
Four Seasons II will introduce a new category of accommodation called Yacht Residential Suites, ranging from two to four bedrooms. These suites will include open-concept living areas, in-built kitchens, dining spaces, and entertainment zones. Select suites will feature private splash pools and outdoor showers, while a dedicated concierge will coordinate all guest experiences. The vessel will maintain a one-to-one guest-to-staff ratio, ensuring highly personalized service throughout the voyage.
Ben Trodd, CEO of Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, the joint owner and operator of Four Seasons Yachts, stated: “Four Seasons II builds on this foundation. Every detail has been considered to ensure guests feel an effortless sense of home, wherever they are sailing.” The yacht aims to combine the comfort of a luxury residence with the freedom of life at sea, catering to families, groups, and travelers on extended voyages.
The first vessel, Four Seasons I, launched in March 2025 and already set a high bar with its all-suite accommodation, including the 927-square-metre Funnel Suite featuring the largest contiguous piece of glass at sea. Four Seasons II aims to surpass that with its residential-scale suites and enhanced personalization.
While the exact itineraries for the inaugural season have not been disclosed, bookings are now open. The yacht will offer high-end culinary concepts, wellness offerings, and curated itineraries, likely focusing on Mediterranean and European destinations, given the brand's strong presence in the region. For travelers interested in combining luxury cruising with rail travel, the trend of luxury cruise and rail combos is gaining traction across Europe, offering a seamless way to explore the continent.
The announcement comes amid a broader shift in luxury travel toward slow tourism and experiential journeys. European travelers, in particular, are increasingly seeking unique, immersive experiences that blend comfort with cultural exploration. Four Seasons II is positioned to tap into this demand, offering a floating alternative to land-based luxury resorts.
As the luxury yacht market expands, Four Seasons' move reflects a strategic bet on the growing appetite for ultra-luxury cruising among high-net-worth individuals in Europe and beyond. With its residential-style suites and one-to-one service, Four Seasons II aims to redefine the standard for opulence at sea.
